FOR YOUR VISIT
What You Need to Know Before Visiting the Ranch
We’re thrilled to welcome you to our ranch! Before you arrive, here’s everything you need to know to make your visit enjoyable and safe:
Arrival Time
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your ride is scheduled. It usually takes your wrangler about an hour to saddle multiple horses and get you checked in.
15 minutes should allow you and your group plenty of time to fill out the paperwork.
Paperwork
With that being said, please give yourself plenty of time to fill out the appropriate paperwork before your ride. This includes signing the Service Summary and a Liability Waiver for each rider.
Proper Apparel
Close-toed shoes are required! You will not be allowed to interact with any of the horses if you are wearing open toed shoes.
Boots are recommended but any closed toed shoe will suffice.
We also ask that you dress appropriately for the weather. If you are partaking in a winter ride, please come prepared with proper layers, gloves and a scarf.
Payment Methods
We accept cash or checks. Debit and Credit Cards are a 4% fee.
If you would like to avoid the fee, we ask that you come prepared with cash or a blank check written out to the ranch owner, Brenda Metzger.
Please do not make checks out to "KB HORSES" instead write them out for Brenda Metzger.

Hats
Riders under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet.
Those of you who would like to wear wide brim hat such as a "cowboy hat" please ensure that you have stampede strings attached to your hat in order to use it during the ride. Stampede strings are esentially the "nerd rope" that keep your hat tethered to your head under the chin. If you do not have a stampede string you will be asked to leave the hat behind.
Ball caps are fine, please make sure they are secured on your head.

outside animals
Of course we love all animals. But please leave your furry friends at home. We have a lot of working ranch dogs onsite and they consider the Ranch their turf.
Please refrain from bringing your dogs to the ranch, you are welcome to walk your dog on a leash on the public trails aroud here if you are waiting around for your riders.
