Trail Rides

Trail riding with us at KB HORSES is unique, unlike any typical nose-to-tail dude outfit. We own all of our horses and know them as individuals, allowing our guests a much more authentic experience. Our horses enjoy their jobs and perform them impeccably. Our goal is to help you create memories that will last a lifetime, so your scheduled ride is a private and custom-tailored experience to meet your riding ability, and because of the rocky terrain, all rides are walking rides. Our ranch staff takes pride in educating our guests, so each trail ride will begin with an introductory lesson where guests learn about the ranch, the nature of equines, and how to build a partnership with their assigned horse.

If you are a beginner or fearful rider, we have patient horses who will keep you safe through a willing partnership. For those with horseback riding experience, although we do not trot or lope with guests on the trail, you'll love the freedom of wandering through the rigorous backcountry and mountainous terrain on a kind-minded, sure-footed horse that will listen to your every cue.

Trail Ride Assistance

Participants who are seven years old and younger or unable to control their horse will be assigned to a wrangler, who will lead the horse by walking in hand from the ground.

For the safety and well-being of everyone on the ride, we reserve the right to choose when trail ride assistance is necessary.

Single Rider Fee

Service Change, Cancelation, No-Show, Late Arrival and Raincheck Policy

Our change/cancellation deadline is 48 hours before the time of your service, except during the listed holidays when we do not accept any changes/cancellations.

Please call our office 48 hours before your reservation to cancel the reservation. If you fail to reach or show up for your reservation, you are subject to 100 percent of the charge towards your reservation.

If you arrive at the ranch for your reservation more than 15-minutes late, you will be expected to pay a $50 late fee.

A $50 charge will be added to your reservation if you make any last-minute changes, such as adding or removing individuals to and from your scheduled reservation outside the 48-hour window.

Inclement weather is the only exception to the 48-hour cancellation policy; ranch management will make the call if there is a need to cancel or reschedule due to unsafe conditions.

If you cancel or reschedule your ride after the 48-hour window, you will be charged for your ride in total. You will be granted a RAINCHECK, a receipt showing you paid for your original reservation in total, and will be able to use it at a different time within 365 days of the canceled reservation.
