WHAT TO WEAR
-
Required Attire: Long pants, closed-toe shoes, and shirts with sleeves.
-
Please Avoid: Shorts, skirts, dresses, high heels, sandals or open-toed shoes, and hats without a stampede string or adjustable strap.
-
We understand it’s festive to wear your western get-up to the ranch! However, due to windy trail conditions, cowboy hats must be secured with a stampede string or similar method to ensure safety and comfort on the ride.
-
Snow boots and heavy tread hiking boots are difficult to fit inside of a stirrup so keep that in mind.
-
-
Apparel Tips:
-
Dress in layers—weather in Heber Valley can change quickly.
-
If you feel like you overdressed, we can tie your excess layers to your saddle.
-
-
Water is provided and gets packed along with your guide.
-
Sunscreen is highly recommended for exposed skin, and due to light brush contact on trail, we recommend wearing sleeves.
-
Ball caps are fine as long as they can be appropriately tightened/adjusted.
-
Sunglasses are encouraged.
-
Gloves are encouraged.
-
You will not be allowed near the horses or beyond the Welcome Building without closed-toe shoes. We do offer boots to borrow, but sizing availability is not guaranteed.

SAFETY & CONDUCT
-
Helmet Policy: Helmets are required for guests under 18.
-
Adults may choose whether or not to wear one. Helmets must be fitted by KB HORSES staff and should not be handled by guests.
-
-
Interacting with Animals: Please ask staff before approaching or touching any of our horses or other animals.
-
Patron Pet Policy: We love dogs, but for the safety of our herd, patron dogs are not allowed on the property. Leashed dogs may be walked on nearby public trails but must not engage with our animals or enter the ranch.
-
Alcohol, Smoking & Substances: Our ranch is a substance-free environment. No alcohol, drugs, vaping, or smoking is permitted.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
-
Capture the Moment: You are welcome to take photos and videos during your visit. We highly encourage that you leave your phones in a secured place when on a trail ride to ensure you are paying attention.
-
Staff Photos: We believe in being present, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take home the memories. We often capture moments during rides and are happy to AirDrop or text them to you after your session.
-
Social Media: Tag us @kb.horses — we love sharing your stories!
-
Feedback: We’d love your review on Google, Facebook, Yelp, or TripAdvisor—or feel free to reach out directly.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM KB HORSES
At KB HORSES, you’re not just booking a service — you’re stepping into a story. Whether you're saddling up for your very first ride or returning to deepen your horsemanship, every visit is thoughtfully tailored to the participant. From the moment you arrive, we aim to create a warm, confidence-building atmosphere for both you and your horse.
Our experiences begin with intentional introductions — to your guide, your mount, and the landscape that surrounds us. We’re big believers in quality over the clock, so we ask that you allow a 30-minute buffer after your scheduled time. If you have specific timing needs, just let our Ranch Manager know when booking.
