Our goal is to help preserve and revitalize the American Cream Draft through responsible, science-supported breeding practices that protect the mare, strengthen the gene pool, and uphold the integrity of the breed.

Thoughtful, Modern Preservation

Because the American Cream Draft is such a rare breed, responsible reproductive technology can play an important role in preservation.

At KB HORSES, we use ICSI and surrogate mares as part of our breeding program to help protect Sunny’s health while allowing us to responsibly expand her genetic contribution to the breed.

This approach allows us to:

prioritize Sunny’s safety and well-being
produce more than one foal in a year without repeated physical strain on her
pair her genetics with diverse stallion lines
support the long-term strength and sustainability of the breed
